| The only president I ever got to see/hear close up was Dwight D. Eisenhower at the Washington D.C. Armory in 1954 when I was 15. My dad was a state ofiicfal with the American Legion and the President was there speaking before the Legion's National Convention. Also heard Madame Chiang Kai-Shek speak too, wife of the Nationalist Chinese leader in Taiwan. It is always exciting to see the leader of our nation. Glad you got to be there, Kay. |
